Child Safe Child Friendly Framework (CSCF)

We are committed to creating a nurturing and safe environment for every girl.

Safety and well-being are our utmost priority at Girl Guides WA. That is why we are proud to uphold our status as a Child Safe, Child Friendly organisation.

We’re dedicated to fostering a nurturing, and secure environment where all girls and young women can flourish. Dive into our comprehensive Child Safe, Child Friendly policy to see the steps we take to protect our community.

To ensure the integrity of our Adult Members and a safe space for our Guides, we implement thorough screening processes. This includes a National Police Check, Working with Children Check, and referee verification, aligning with our rigorous Child Safe, Child Friendly (CSCF) requirements.

Beyond initial compliance, our Adult Members receive specialised training in child safety and program delivery. Additionally, they are required to maintain their First Aid training as well as undergoing annual CPR refreshers. This continuous learning approach keeps our volunteers at the forefront of best practices, ensuring a supportive, enriching experience for every member.

All Adult Members must adhere to the Girl Guides Australia Code of Conduct, which itself reflects strict adherence to the National Principles for Child Safe Organisations. This Code of Conduct sets the standards of behaviour expected of all adults participating in Girl Guiding in Australia. It is designed to ensure that all adult members, volunteers and employees of Girl Guides are aware of their obligations and responsibilities. Girl Guides WA reserve the right to take action regarding any breach of the Code of Conduct.
