This inclusive guild extends a warm invitation to former Guides, members from WAGGGS countries now in Australia, female members of the Scouts Association and any female members of the public. Whether you’re already actively involved, retired, or keen to start your journey with us, your contribution to Guiding and the broader community can continue to flourish within the Trefoil Guild.

Through fun and friendship, the Australian Trefoil Guild builds support for Guiding and creates an influence for good in the community.
As members of the Trefoil Guild, members retain their membership of Guiding. They join together in fun and fellowship to build support for Guiding and create an influence for good in the community. Through the spirit of the Guide Promise, members contribute to peace and understanding of people throughout the world.
Members accept the following responsibilities:
- To keep the spirit of the Guide Promise and Law.
- To carry that spirit into the community.
- To give support to Guiding.
furthering the aims of the Guild
The Trefoil Guild is an adult section of Girl Guides for women who:
- Are former or current members of Girl Guides Australia.
- Have not previously been involved in Guiding but who are prepared to make the Guide Promise.
- Are former members of member countries of WAGGGS now residing in Australia.
- Are current or former members of the Scout Association.
- Are active or retired Support Group members who have made the Guide Promise.
Each Trefoil Guild autonomously elects its leadership and crafts its unique program, offering flexibility in meeting times, activities and objectives. Together, Trefoils work towards furthering the aims of the Guild, fostering a sense of belonging and active participation in the Guiding community and beyond.
Membership benefits and dress code
An annual fee ensures continued affiliation with Girl Guides WA, and the broader Trefoil network, including the International Fellowship of Former Scouts and Guides (IFSG). While the Trefoil Guild dress code fosters a sense of unity and tradition, it’s the opportunities for fellowship, service, and international adventure that truly define the Trefoil experience.
