Meet our Volunteers: Elizabeth

Elizabeth is a highly experienced Marketing and Sales professional who has spent the last two decades working across pharmacy, retail and technology industries in Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a double major in Marketing and Information Management. Elizabeth has also qualified as both a Prince2 Project Manager and Change Manager Practitioner.

Elizabeth currently works as an Account Manager for Lactalis, one of the largest Dairy companies in the world, supporting independent retailers across Western Australia and championing WA brands such as Harvey Fresh. Elizabeth also works with her husband, Christian, running a successful home services business located in the hills of Perth.

Personally, Elizabeth is a proud mother of two teenagers – Evie and Tom. She has been involved in both the Girl Guide and Scout movements since she was a child, with fond memories of being a Brownie in the UK before emigrating to Australia and becoming a Venturer, Rover, and Scout Leader in her teens.

Also known by her Guide name, Dingo, Elizabeth is currently a Unit Leader-in-training at Roleystone Girl Guides.

Celebrating Elizabeth for National Volunteer Week 2024!

Q. With this year’s theme for National Volunteer Week being ‘Something for Everyone’, what is your favourite ‘something’ about volunteering for Girl Guides WA, Lizzie?

“I really enjoy working with all the girls across the Unit, whether that be our junior Guides, Guides, or Rangers. It’s a great privilege to support young girls in trying new things and discovering the world around them, without barriers! It’s also been a great opportunity to share something with my daughter, Evie, who is a Guide herself.”

Q. What is your number one tip for balancing volunteering with other life commitments?

“Remembering that you don’t have to do everything. Balance is literally the key – and it’s okay to say no!”
