The Mary Radcliffe-Taylor Bequest provides financial assistance to active members of Girl Guides Western Australia who are undertaking tertiary study. Established in honour of Mary Ruru Radcliffe‑Taylor, a dedicated leader whose legacy continues to inspire, the bequest aims to reduce barriers to further education for Guides across the state.
Eligible applicants may receive up to $6,000, including support for course fees, books, and living‑away‑from‑home expenses. Funding is distributed across the duration of the course and is subject to annual review.
Eligibility includes:
- Active membership with Girl Guides WA (maintained throughout study)
- Enrolment in tertiary education (university, TAFE, or equivalent)
- Applicants may only receive the bequest once
Applications close 31 March. If you are interested, please complete an application form. Referees and supporting documents are required as part of the process.
The Girl Guides WA Board reviews applications annually, and awards are granted at its discretion.
