Archival Donations

Girl Guides Western Australia welcomes the donation of items related to the history of the organisation in this State. The aim of the collection is to provide a history of the movement in Western Australia including:

  • Adult and girl uniforms, badges, event scarves
  • Publications, books newsletters, reports
  • Pictorial and written information pertaining to programs, events (International, Australian, State and local in which Western Australian members have participated), activities, training's, state meetings
    Units current and past
  • State owned campsites, state headquarters and Guide properties
  • All Minute books being the business of the Association and not destroyed/damaged


Accepted items will be catalogued, recording date received, donor, historical time and place, physical condition, storage location and category. The donor will be acknowledged. Unacceptable items will be returned to the sender if requested.

A donation once made becomes the property of Girl Guides Western Australia and cannot be returned.

Making a Donation

To donate items, please check the Archives Policy (link on the left), and deliver your items to Girl Guides Western Australia. Any information about the person donating the article or items is appreciated. Please include contact details of the donor.
