Mary Radcliffe Taylor Bequest

The Mary Radcliffe Taylor Bequest was established to provide financial support to active members of Girl Guides WA undertaking tertiary education.

Eligibility

  • No age restrictions.
  • Applicant must be an active member of Girl Guides WA.
  • An applicant can only receive funding once.
  • The applicant must remain an active member of Girl Guides WAduring her studies.

Financial support

  • Up to $6,000 is available per recipient.
  • $3,000 the maximum for fees and books.
  • $3,000 the maximum for living away from home expenses.

Application process

  • Applications are considered annually by the Management Committee and close on 31 March each year.

  • An interview with applicants may be required.
  • Awards are made at the discretion of the Management Committee and conditions may apply to successful applications, such as satisfactory progression through the chosen course.

Paddy Firstenberg Memorial Award

Closing date: 12 Noon on 23 October 2020.

Nominations are called for the 2020 Paddy Firstenberg Memorial Award from young women in Girl Guides Western Australia who have demonstrated leadership, and commitment to the empowerment of young women.

  • The awardee will be announced Saturday 16 January 2021.
  • The decision of the award panel will be final.
  • The awardee will be recognised and presented with their award at the Girl Guides WA Awards Ceremony.
  • The awardee will also be granted one year’s complimentary membership of NCWWA.
