What does the Girl Guides WA Youth Advisory Council do?
The Youth Advisory Council will report to the Youth Program Manager, and will operate in two ways:
- As an advisory council, members will consider questions and ideas put to them by the State Program Committee (and other relevant and appropriate personnel). The council will provide girls’ input and feedback, as required, to inform and direct solutions.
- As a representative group, the Youth Advisory Council will consider their, and their peers’ ideas and experiences to make recommendations to the State Program Committee and other relevant personnel about current and future Guiding. This may include consulting with peers and helping to plan events.
The Youth Advisory Council members may be encouraged to take on particular roles such as Chairperson, Secretary, Social Media, and Events.
