Working with Children Checks

A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is a comprehensive, national criminal record check that is compulsory for people involved in child related work (paid or voluntary) in Western Australia.

All adult members of Girl Guides WA whose usual duties involve contact with children need a WWC Check. Parent volunteer whose children are involved in the same Unit are exempt from the Check, except when volunteering on overnight camps.

Application forms are available from Australia Post offices throughout WA. Girl Guides WA representatives are available to assist with completion of Parts 6 & 7 on the WWCC application form. Contact Guide House or phone (08) 9355 4586.

For more information on the application process and costs for certification, see WWCC.
