Structure of Trefoil Guilds

Trefoil Guilds in WA date back to 1938 and there are currently 14 Guilds in WA. They are an integral part of Guiding and each Guild is autonomous; it elects its own President, Secretary and Treasurer, plans its own program and decides when and where to meet. Each Guild decides how they can offer service and support within their community, while keeping in mind the spirit of the Guide promise.

Guilds are situated throughout the State, there is also a Lones Guild for members who do not have a Guild near them or who travel a lot. Special interest Guilds can be formed, for example Quilting, Singing or Golfing.

Members are kept well informed of State activities through the publication of regular newsletters.

Why Trefoil?

     -  Once a Girl Guide, always a Girl Guide

     -  To keep the Guiding spirit alive in the community

     -  To support youth members

     -  To adhere to the principles of the Promise and Law

Uniform

Trefoil members may wear a Guild dress which consist of a white blouse with navy skirt/slacks. A Trefoil Guild long scarf is generally worn as part of the Guild dress. The Trefoil Guild promise badge is a gold Trefoil with a red background with the wording of "Trefoil Guild" on the scroll.
