Working with Children Checks

A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is a new national criminal record check that is compulsory for people involved in child related work in Western Australia.

All Girl Guide Leaders and adult Unit Helpers who have regular contact with children (more than 5 days a year) or who assist with overnight camps, need a WWCC card.

Application forms are available from Australia Post offices throughout WA. Girl Guides WA representatives are available to assist with completion of Parts 6 & 7 on the WWCC application form. Contact Guide House or phone (08) 9355 4586.

For more information on the application process and costs for certification, see WWCC.
